Full Time Residential Conveyancer – Bishops Stortford Office

We are actively seeking an experienced Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to join our busy, well established and highly regarded residential conveyancing team.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be confident in handling all aspects of a range of matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases;  re-mortgages; transfers of equity, new build transactions, shared ownership properties etc. You will need strong technical knowledge of a transaction from inception to completion and the ability to work under pressure.
  • You will need to provide clear, practical advice to clients throughout the transaction.
  • The position will include supervising secretarial and support staff and training junior members of the team when the need arises.
  • You will be required to maintain and develop client and professional business relationships.
  • Compliance with firm procedures will be required at all times.
  • You will be required to contribute to team growth and overall department development to include a willingness to assist with marketing.
  • Strong IT, inter-personal skills and a positive attitude are vital.

Full Time Residential Conveyancing Assistant – Bishops Stortford Office

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team, specialising in Residential Conveyancing.

The successful candidate will be required to assist in all aspects of a range of matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages; transfers of equity, new build transactions, shared ownership properties etc from inception through to completion.

Responsibilities include

  • Compiling timely and confidential correspondence and emails on behalf of Conveyancers.
  • Checking, amending and formatting letters and other documents as instructed.
  • Establishing an understanding of client matters and confidently handling client enquiry calls and questions effectively.
  • Providing updates to estate agents, mortgage brokers and other legal professionals.
  • Providing additional support functions including scanning, filing, submitting land registration applications to Land Registry and carrying out searches within the internal case management systems.


This role requires the ability to work in a planned, proactive and organised way maintaining high attention to detail and confidentiality. You must have the ability to work under pressure and have a willingness to learn and to proactively build positive relationships with managers, colleagues and clients.
